There is a world-famous astronomer named Carl Sagan. Many years ago, he wrote that in order for life to be sustained, for a planet to support life, there had to be two conditions. One is, the right kind of star and the second, a planet the right distance from that star.
He said that given roughly there is an octillion planets in the universe. An octillion is a one with 27 zeros after it and there should have been about a septillion, which is a one with about 24 zeros after that, planets of capable of supporting life. (more…)
