Have you ever thought as to the reasons why some people were given more than others? How do some people accumulate and amass a large amount of material things while others don’t have as much? Have you thought about that?
It’s interesting, everyone, according to the Bible, is supposed to tithe on everything they have.
Tithing our wealth expresses our awareness that everything we possess actually belongs to a Higher Being and it must be used for good purposes. Now, you may say, some of these people have worked hard and they deserved the amount of wealth they received. Others were just lucky and they were just given that wealth because of something that they inherited or perhaps something that they have acquired by lottery or by gaining some luck. You could say that. Generally, however, we amass wealth in order to improve our lives. That’s the reason why we work for that wealth and not just our lives but also the lives of those that we love. But when we realize the value of that wealth, the motives behind them are driven in our mind, in our hearts, to understand that the value of that wealth means very little unless we share it with others.
