Life is indeed challenging. Even a doctor who tells his patient that things will go well, he himself knows that at times, he may have to face a situation that could be critical and that could be the end of life, but no one lives with despair.
We all have to think of life as being a moment in a series of moments which is part of our journey. There was a story which I read once about a person who was always afraid that he would not be able to support his family, and he didn’t know what to do. He had all these fears and then the worst happened – he got laid off and he didn’t have a job anymore. So he had plenty of time, and one day his television broke, so he wanted to fix the antenna on the roof. What he had to do was go on top of the roof to get the antenna and see what he could do to fix it. Once on the roof, he stood there, looking out to a sea of roofs throughout the whole city. Every roof represented a family, and somehow, all those families were making it and if they all could, he reasoned so could he. (more…)
