It is said that when Adam was created, according to the Bible, the Creator immediately apprised him of his powers and it gave him the purpose in life, and that was to replenish the Earth and conquer it. And he would have dominion over the fish of the sea and the fowl of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the Earth. Then he was given the power to conquer the whole world and to rule over it on land, on sea, in the air, and he was commended to do this as a task, but how does that work?
The word ‘conquest’ which was given to man as his task and mission in life is to elevate the whole nature, including the beasts and the animals, but needless to say, before a man can set out to conquer the whole world, he must first conquer within himself, his “earthly being”, his personality, and his inclination which is not as good or as Divine, his own nature.
