There is an analogy used of a person who lives in the city with a king over that county. The wanting or willingness to visit the king is not so simple, because the king is sitting in his palace and is not easily accessible to everyone. After all, he’s the king. But sometimes the king takes the time to go out and meet the people.
When the king is in the field, it is easy for everyone to approach and to present him with a petition or whatever it is that we needed. Often the king receives everyone with grace, and even offers them to fulfill their requests. There are times in the calendar of our days, our lives, when the King of the universe grants us this opportunity to speak with Him privately, one-on-one. Where He says, “What can I do for you?
