Daily Wisdom – Motivational Podcast – Day 292 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond
There are several forms of leadership in all of its forms. Forms of leadership in the family, the workplace, in schools, or organizations. Leadership is not about cloning anyone to fit the image or disposition of the one leader. This is absolutely incorrect.
An authentic leader must embrace human diversity to be a true leader. The distinction is between people who are a positive phenomenon and things that they bring, are actually not a threat. These concepts are rooted in the leaders’ appreciation of the Creator of humanity. The G-d Himself, the Creator who created the whole world, and since G-d created so many distinct spaces, spirits, hearts, and so many different people, the unique quality of a true leader is one that accepts each and every one of them.
The diversity that we see here is sewn in the very fabric of existence. We know that there are no two flakes of snow that are alike, or two people that are alike. A leader’s goal is not to have all of his or her followers look alike; rather it must contain within himself or herself the unique disposition and sole energy of each individual. Helping them and guiding them to maximize their own potential.
It is very similar to how the brain itself that guides the individual limbs and organs to function as their particular nature calls for within the larger organism, the body. In a relationship, the goal is not to think alike but to think together. Thinking together means working as one unit, and recognizing there are two separate people. That’s what life is.
The beauty of this life and the beauty of being around people, is accepting the way they are, and being able to share with them with confidence, faith, and joy that they are different than you.
But together we can think much better. Thinking together means we think in our own personal way, each individually, but we work toward the same goal, to make a harmonious world where each and every one of us can live better. Not by singing the same note, but by expressing our individual notes as an indispensable part of the song.
The song called life. The things that we did together. I hope that everyone you meet you accept, and share with them this beautiful concept. It’s worth doing it, it’s worth making our world a better place to live.
