Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 266 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

There are many good health habits in this world. Some we learned by ourselves and some that we are taught from families, friends, or parents. Brushing your teeth, sitting properly at the table, eating an apple a day will keep the doctor away, there are so many of these wonderful sayings.

But some habits are destructive, and can, unfortunately, impede your health, or somewhat limit some of your general functions.

Smoking, for instance, is one of them. Smoking will reduce your ability to run and often to do things in the happiest way. It will also control your mind at times by dictating what type of mood you will have.

Drinking, interestingly enough, will have similar ideas. It might even restrict you from being able to have certain type of foods without being affected. Of course, someone who drinks excessively will also have a change in moods and be a totally different person.

Drugs will also make you a different person.

There are good health habits that a person should follow through on a daily basis; and those are the things that we are taught that will keep your life longer, healthier, better, in a saner way.

You might say, “This is my life. I can do what I want with it.” That’s true. You are entirely entitled to do whatever you wish with your health or your body.

But remember that there are certain things that need to be done in this world, as an improvement and those things were left up sometimes to an individual and you may be this individual. You may be the one that was chosen to make things better in this world, especially in your corner of the world, where you are or where you find yourself. During these situations, it’s up to you. It is totally up to you to become the ambassador of these things and make it better than it was when you found it.

How would you do that if you are drunk? How would you do that if you are stoned? How would you do that if you are totally under the influence of any drugs?

You wouldn’t be able to.

If you really want to accomplish in this world and be productive, and do things above and beyond what you think your mind would let you do, or you think you might limit yourself to do, you need to have good health habits. It’s healthy for you and it’s healthy for the rest of the world. I suggest you follow that.
