Daily Wisdom – Motivational Podcast – Day 512 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond
Have you ever thought about what happens to your life’s memoirs after you pass away?
Let me give you a suggestion; not that I have been there but I see from my own experiences with my father who passed away.
There is something so valuable about being able to hear the voice of a person who has passed away. It’s interesting that years ago, these things were not available but with the technology today, a person can have images, recordings, and it’s so simple because it’s all there for us to use.
You see, “memoirs” is a little more than that, having the memoirs recorded. Why not spend a moment maybe once a week or once a month, or even every few years to record a little bit about your memoirs: what you think, what you feel, what you like, what you know, some of the dreams that you have or the aspirations that you may encounter at times.
Leave these memoirs and when you pass away, this will be left to the family members that you have: siblings, children, a partner, or even friends. They’ll be able to go back and listen to what you were thinking and what you had in mind at that time. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
Think about it today if you could. Someone perhaps, that you loved who has gone away, who has passed on to the next world, wouldn’t it be nice to know, what were they saying? What were they thinking? I recommend that you create memoirs. It is priceless and I can tell you that even though you won’t be there to appreciate it, your family and siblings, and friends, and colleagues, and even acquaintances who have loved you or have gotten to know you, will appreciate it. It’s priceless, it’s precious, it’s different. You see, today, you will be as happy as you make up your mind to be right now.
Now, you may be feeling it and you may know it but other people don’t. Life is not just the passing of time as one person said; it’s more of the collections of experiences, their intensity and frequency. Leaving that as a memoirs will turn not only your life as a legacy, but it will leave so much for others to listen to, hear about you, learn about you.
We know that life is a mix of opportunities and difficulty but the good things, the things you remember, the things you experienced, wouldn’t be nice to share those with others even after you’re gone?
I suggest you take a few moments. It doesn’t have to be long but it has to be sincere and it has to be from you, and if perhaps you don’t want to tape it, maybe you can record it in a book by writing it. Either way, those will be your memoirs and they will serve the purpose of always being there for everyone to read or listen to.
I hope this for you for many years to come.
