Daily Wisdom – Motivational Podcast – Day 514 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond
Many people at times tend to exaggerate when they speak. It’s interesting that one of the reason is to show the person that you are speaking to, that you are smart or knowledgeable.
Other times, it’s so that perhaps in the practice of selling, you are trying to convince them that the product that you’re speaking about has a higher value. Often people say, “truth be said” that this is the way this is or this is the way that it is.
We use the term “Truth be said.” The truth, however, is that the person should be accurate.
Truth is something which is of absolute necessity and undeniably the most precious gift that we have, not only to build our reputation but to be the person that we wish to be.
A person should always be honest. They should speak with integrity and accuracy. What you say should always be based on factual knowledge and if you don’t know, you should preface that by saying, “I’m not sure,” “I believe,” “It’s possible,” “I don’t quite know but,” and there’s nothing wrong in saying, “I have read this somewhere but I don’t quite remember the details,” but always let it be the truth. If you’ve done something, say it. If you have not, so be it. Let it be always the truth of who you are, of what you think, of what you say, and if what you think at time is not something that you should be shared, you don’t have to lie about it; just don’t say it. Keep it to yourself and keep it to the point where no one has to hear it. This way, you don’t have to ever say anything but the truth.
“Truth be said” as the basis by which the whole world was created. It’s based on truth and honesty. Everything in the world works according to this specific character attribute. If you’re lacking it, work on it. Take one step at a time and watch what you say. Listen what you’ve got to say and if you are in a habit of saying things which are not truthful, just one at a time decide: “I’m not going to say these things anymore!”, and you’ll see slowly but surely, you will regain the confidence and the ability to tell the truth.
There’s the beautiful thing about always telling the truth. First, you never have to think about what you’ve got to say. Second, you never have to worry. Third, you never have to double check to see if it is accurate because you know you’re telling the truth.
I wish this for you and I hope that you work on this because this is important, very important for you.
