How long does it take to go around the earth? Do you know?
Science tells us that with the speed of light, it takes 186,000 miles per second and therefore, takes seven seconds. Quite amazing.
Another question, how long does it take to go from one end of the universe to the other? From what we know today, at the speed of light, using the same calculations, according to scientists, 28 billion years. It’s quite amazing, if you think about that.
Yet how long does it take to make someone happy? Less than a second. By giving a friend a negative look or not extending your hand when you’re supposed to, you can hurt someone. You can cause pain to them which will last an eternity faster than the speed of light, faster than it takes to go around the earth or from one end of the universe to the other. Now, on the other hand, how long does it take to make someone happy? Also a second. By you extending a smile and being kind, by doing a good deed, sometimes, even just a good thought can change the whole world. Now, think about that.
It’s quite amazing that we have the power to change things by our thoughts, much more so by our speech and even greater, by our actions. It’s a chain of events that occurs when we do something good, either by thought, speech, or action.
If that’s the case, why not use all the opportunities we have to go around the world and make things better? We can reach from one end of the universe to the other within seconds yet to travel space would take 28 billion years; and you, can accomplish goodness in less than a second. Think about that. Let’s all work together to make this world a better place. Why not strive to enrich the world, making everything around as positive, greater spirituality, physicality, and professional areas, in every aspect? Why not take all the goodness we have and make it better?
Here is one quote which I read once which is so beautiful, “Imagine that you could wake up every morning and see the good in every person.” Imagine that. If we could only see the good in every person, how much better would this world be? Only the good, regardless of what it is. You could see that you could do that, you could think that, you could say that. That choice is all yours, I suggest we all use it.
