Ended Up Just Fine

Ended Up Just Fine

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 963 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

I met someone the other day who was worried all week, and this person told me that it felt as though it had rained every single day even though the weather was quite nice. This person worried for days about something that she could not control, and actually, it ended up just fine anyway.

What a waste of time and energy that we find sometimes worrying about things that we shouldn’t be worried about.

Worry, interestingly enough, typically is about the future even if it is a moment from now, a minute from now. And what we are really worried about is our ability and capacity to deal with what’s going to happen, that’s what worry is all about. (more…)

Personality Development

Personality Development

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 962 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

Today, I would like to discuss about personality development. Each and every man possesses many character traits as we know and each trait is very different and distant from the others.

One type of man for instance is angry constantly. In contrast, there’s the calm individual who is never moved to anger or if at all, he will be slightly angry, perhaps once during many years. Then there’s also the prideful man and the one who is exceptionally humble. There’s the man ruled by his appetites. He will never be satisfied for pursuing his desires, and conversely, the very pure of heart who does not desire even the little that the body needs. There’s also the greedy man who cannot be satisfied with all the money in the world. As it says in the proverb, a “lover of money never has his fill of money.” (more…)

Winding Down

Winding Down

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 961 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

I read recently that a Harvard University study, found that exposure to blue light which is the light produced by the cell phone, can suppress melatonin and also, it can even shift your circadian rhythm.

Now, the circadian rhythm is roughly a 24-hour cycle in the physiological processes of living beings, including the plants, animals, and even the cyanobacteria. In order to sleep peacefully at night, a person should make sure that they turn off their cell phone or put it in a night shift mode, basically. (more…)

Faster & Faster

Faster & Faster

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 960 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

Have you noticed that everything is moving faster and faster around you?

In everything that we do, everything around us, the world is moving faster. The development of technology in the last few years, has brought an explosion, a cataclysmic change in everything that we do and we’re all trying to keep up. Never before has there been a greater need and necessity for us to understand the obligation to slow down and appreciate what we have.

Now, we can learn to harness the power of patience and understanding, the need for what we do in all of our lives. That’s a combination of wanting to, motivation of doing it, an awareness of paying attention to our inner landscape of who we are and what we want, and practicing, a cultivation of getting what we need to do. We can do it because as human beings, we have the power to control what we need in this world, and how we live our lives. It is such a critical component of what we do. We’ve done this, as a matter of fact. How else did we get through learning to work on our jobs, going through school, learning to develop relationships, learning to love certain things and walk away from others? We’re not just always aware of what happens. We’ve learned it. (more…)

True Serenity

True Serenity

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 959 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

There is a concept in life which brings peace to your heart and your mind. There is a word also that is associated with that, it is called serenity. Now, it is interesting that in the word serenity, there is another concept an attribute that characterizes what serenity is, and that concept is called patience. To have the patience to do what you need to do. Patience gives you calmness of the spirit, your own spirit. With patience, at any given time your inner experience is more like a still pond rather than raging rivers. Things can be quite complicated at times. But with patience, true serenity, you are able to stay calm on the inside no matter what is happening on the outside. There’s a certain composure, peace of mind, a stillness, a tranquility. There is calmness. You trust, if you reach that level, in your capacity to deal with whatever comes your way. And whatever the issue is, you can overcome it. (more…)
