Holding Breath

Holding Breath

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 717 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

Have you ever experienced a true sunset or sunrise? Quite stunning, something which is of immense beauty and almost indescribable. Indeed, you must use all your senses to witness the sunrise, not just your eyes. Otherwise, you won’t be able to understand it, to fully grasp it, or realize what it is.

There is a moment just before the flowers open where it looks like the world is holding its breath. This is quite amazing, something beyond imagination, something beyond exhilaration. It is something of special value. To be able to understand the strength, the energy, and the beauty behind the world often you must stop and look. Truly feel the beauty of the world. (more…)

Circle of Life

Circle of Life

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 716 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

I was making my way downstairs one morning, when I saw a beautiful sight – my wife sitting there on the couch, next to my daughter. Now you see, my daughter is also a mother, and there they were, both of them sitting down and speaking about life, children, husbands, things that mothers speak to daughters about. This is the “circle of life”. Children may wonder at times if their parents are truly on their side, whether they’ll ever grow up to be like their parents, or if their parents truly understand them.

But then these children grow up, and they themselves become parents. The full circle of life comes around and lets them know that whatever their parents taught them was always the right thing. So, there it was, that beautiful picture of my wife and my daughter conversing with each other. Both of them looking into each other’s eyes, finding the awakening of a passion. (more…)

Moody

Moody

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 715 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

Have you ever met people who have been tagged as “being moody”? This means that they are downcast, or they change from good to not good, and become melancholic sometimes.

What causes this mood change? It could be their circumstances, the way they feel about themselves, or a lack of self-worth. Perhaps they envy others, or are experiencing difficulties and obstacles, that they feel cannot be overcome.

When you meet someone moody, instead of just saying, “This person is moody. I don’t want to be around them.” Why not get closer to them and ask them, “What caused the change in your attitude?” Once you find out about what caused that change, why not help them see things in a different light? Check Your Own Baggage

Check Your Own Baggage

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 714 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

A wise man once said, “A person should create their environment. If he does not he should check his own baggage carefully to see whether his own affairs are in order. If he fails to create an environment, he will break and splinter. He must demand of himself, what am I doing in this world?

Ask yourself the question: What is your purpose? What is it that you were created for? And what can you do to make this world a better place? A place where everything around you becomes greater.

Since you are given the power to create your own environment and create new environments, shouldn’t you be looking for this wherever you go? Accept challenges and take full responsibility. At times, you must love criticism and learn from others. You have to have good friends, be flexible, keep an open mind, and forgive yourself. You must say little and do much. You must also help one another. You have to love peace and love others just as you love yourself. You have to be hospitable. (more…)

Only You

Only You

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 713 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

There’s a story about employees in a company who one day reached their office and found a big sign which said, “Yesterday, the person who had been hindering your growth in this company, passed away. We invite you, please, to join all the funeral processions in the room downstairs.”

At first, the employees became sad for the death of one of their colleague. But then, after a while, they became curious. Who was this person who hindered their growth? Who could it be?

Downstairs in that room, the excitement was so great that security agents were ordered to control the crowd, and make sure that they walked one-by-one by the coffin. As they waited their turn to see the body, they thought, “Who is this person who was hindering the progress? Well, at least he died. But let’s see who it is.” (more…)
