Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 531 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

Have you ever heard of the expression ‘My bucket list’? “I have to put that in my bucket list or check it off my bucket list.” What is a bucket list? Well, it’s a term that has not been around for a very long but what it means is that, at least to our generation, that people have certain dreams, certain aspirations that they would like to accomplish, perhaps a place that they want to visit, or an ambition that they would like to turn into a dream; that’s a bucket list.

Now, everyone has a dreams and everyone has aspirations, wishes, and desires that they want to accomplish in their lifetime, which is great. You have to have goals and goals have to be reasonably set so that you can always grow and grow from strength to strength until you get everything on your bucket list accomplished. But here are a few issues about the bucket list that I believe you should be aware of: first, your bucket should be clean. Don’t have aspirations for things which are not beneficial or helpful to the world. Another is, your bucket itself should be yours. Don’t let someone else’ dream be yours and don’t let someone else make those choices for you unless it’s someone who really cares about you, and knows that this concept that they are adding is something that is good for you.

Third is that you should know that in your bucket list shouldn’t just be wishes but an eagerness to take these ambitions and turn them into reality. Greater than the ambition is the eagerness to get there. In order for an “eagerness” to have a potential vessel to be able to be executed to work, you have to have reasons. What are the reasons why you want to do what you are trying to accomplish? Reasons often are more important than the dreams themselves. Reasons why the success, the passion, the capabilities, the dreams, the strength, the enthusiasm, the ambition that you want to do must grow.

What are the reasons? First and foremost, the reason should be to always make the world a better place to be than you found it when you first came. But it should also be that “your” world and the world of all those around you benefit. If you start with the other people and the other human beings in the world, you will always benefit and you will be able to accomplish what you are set to do. But if you start for a selfish reason, as an ambition that would just benefit you and you only, what good is that? Where is the grace or the honesty? Where is the kindness? Where is the beauty? Where is the resolution? Where is the remarkable that person that you are?

So change that and take that bucket list seriously, and I hope that you get to accomplish all of it very soon.
