Daily Wisdom – Motivational Podcast – Day 400 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond
I remember when I was younger that my father, bless his soul, used to work with me and help me with my homework and some of the things that I needed. As I became older in the teenage years, I was sent away to school. For many years, I only came home on a sparing time because there were just not enough means for me to go back and forth, yet I always appreciated those times. I appreciated every single moment and I remember.
Life is all about remembering, memories of good things, memories of opportunities, memories of thoughts, of things that we once lived with. I remember my father always being there for me even though most of my life, I did not live with my father. I remember what he was to me and what he represented to me. Remembering means having engraved in your heart, the goodness and the opportunities that you were once given. Remembering doesn’t mean making up stories or hoping that it was better; remembering means living with what you’ve got and appreciating what you once had.
The person you are today is what you’ve attracted by your actions, accept them. If they’re not exactly the way you wish them to be or you wish to make a difference for your own children, then make it a difference. Personally, I am happy with the way that I was raised. I have nothing but good things, good thoughts, and good memories of my family. Now, that doesn’t mean that this was enough. I wanted to make it even greater for my own children and grandchildren. So, we can change that. Once you remember who you are and you remember where you come from, it’s easy to draw from those experiences and you could be dynamic; you could be different, you could achieve with confidence all of the goodness and all the blessings that you wish. You can do it with grace, with kindness, with trust, and you can be authentic. You can attain the ultimate goodness and confidence that the world that was given to you can be enhanced by your actions. Now, that means that you have to know who you are but always remember what you’ve got and what you’ve become. In pursuit of that, be careful to become even greater and share it with others. I remember.
Do you remember? If not, then create memories for your children.
