Daily Wisdom – Motivational Podcast – Day 42 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond
Have you ever heard the word inadequate? A word which means deficient or faulty, incompetent, perhaps even incomplete, skimpy, unequal, or weak. This word is definitely not something that describes any human being, yet sometimes, for whatever reason, people call others inadequate.
Are you inadequate? Do you feel inadequate?
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate; our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Often, we ask ourselves, who am I to be? Brilliant or gorgeous, talented, or even fabulous?
Ask yourself the question, actually: who are you not to be? Who is to say that you are inadequate? Who can measure that? And what scale are they using to measure that?
Inadequate is only relative to what the person sees, not what you can do. Inadequate is only according to the person who judges you, not according to your talents, not according to your powers. You have the ability to overcome any challenge at any given time; to think that you are incomplete is so far-fetched from reality. It’s almost sinful, almost ridiculous.
Incompetent or deficient, these words have nothing to do with human beings, nothing at all. Human beings are powerful people who can do remarkable things, because they are remarkable people. We are creatures with powers beyond measure or imagination. All you are lacking is the understanding that you have these powers or the will to develop these powers. So, I suggest you let these words completely vanish and never bring them up in your life. Never think about them. Don’t use them in any way, shape, or form. Know that you are invincible and you can do whatever you wish with the powers that you have been given. You don’t need anything else. It’s all within you. It’s all within your reach. All you have to do is let it be discovered, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
