Daily Wisdom – Motivational Podcast – Day 357 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond
There is an analogy used of a person who lives in the city with a king over that county. The wanting or willingness to visit the king is not so simple, because the king is sitting in his palace and is not easily accessible to everyone. After all, he’s the king. But sometimes the king takes the time to go out and meet the people.
When the king is in the field, it is easy for everyone to approach and to present him with a petition or whatever it is that we needed. Often the king receives everyone with grace, and even offers them to fulfill their requests. There are times in the calendar of our days, our lives, when the King of the universe grants us this opportunity to speak with Him privately, one-on-one. Where He says, “What can I do for you? How can I help you?”
These are special times, and we need to use this opportunity to win over not only the kindness of the King, but also with our deeds and all of our good functions to ask for the king to help us out.
Now, not everyone believes in G-d, that is true. Not everyone believes that there is a supreme being. That is also true. But assuming that this world is above and beyond everything else that we can think of. An entity that a supreme consciousness rules and maintains it. Know that nothing happens haphazardly. That would be something ridiculous to think that it just happens for itself. There is a consequence.
These consequences are nurtured and activated by our actions. If we believe in that, then we know for a fact that everything that we do affects everything else. It is that action itself that I’m speaking about.
Why not use the good that we do, the good that we think about, the good that we talk about, and use that to help the world be a better place? Not just for those that are religious, but for everyone. Not just for our own country, but for the whole world. Help everyone else be, see, act, live better than they were before. That’s the ultimate life, and that’s the ultimate world.
Whether you believe in G-d or not is not the point here, the point is that you do the best that you can do at all times. If you think or believe that the King is now in the field, then use the time wisely and have a good petition for what you want.
