Daily Wisdom – Motivational Podcast – Day 155 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond
At times, we are somewhat confused or dismayed by what the future is offering us. We’re not sure where to go, what to do, how to respond, how to act, or even how to make a decision that will be beneficial, not just for us, but for everyone around us.
There is a way to do this. We are all capable of correcting our errors of the past. There is often a great value making sure this happens. How? Very simple, it’s called the “outside voice”.
When someone is confused or somewhat lost, turn to someone else. Someone who can provide you an objective appraisal of who you are and what you are doing and if it’s proper or not. The potential impact that it can have on your thoughts and your action can change your future. An objective appraisal from someone whose opinion you can respect-someone other than yourself. This will enable you to change things, and see things in a way that you have not seen them before.
In our own personal world, we tend to see sometimes only the trees, while really, a capable friend is more likely to see the whole forest. Objectivity, when it is brought to us in a wise council and in a proper way, could make a difference. It can prevent us from reaching faulty conclusions and this also could be based with familiarity with our lives or even the environment we live in.
Why not find a friend.
Someone you trust.
Someone your respect.
Someone you actually look up to.
Ask them to give me some answers, guide me, help me. This will be a great benefit to you. This is the “outside voice” that will guide you for many, many years to come.
Make yourself a good friend and council with them as many times as you need to.
