Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 893 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond

You know, in our world today, we have an identity crisis which is so rampant, it’s quite amazing. Human beings are the only ones asking, “So what now? What do we have to do? What are we going to be doing?”

People are not sure how they’re supposed to act from day to day. We don’t know what to do with our lives. Now, there are two conclusions that we can reach: either we are inferior to all of the cosmos or we have a unique role in the cosmos. It’s up to us and we make that decision. It’s interesting.

Darwin writes that in the Origin of Species, one of the ramifications of the Theory of Evolution is that there is fundamentally no difference between the human beings and the other species.

We obviously know differently today, for many of us, anyway. Those who believe in the Creator, we know that this is not true. We can either be the missing link or bringing the whole world back to its completion and separated from its own source.

Our universe, it says, is divided in four different worlds: the inanimate, which represents all the minerals on the Earth; the world of vegetation, the botany; the animals, and the human beings.

Now, each world serves the other. For instance, the Earth serves the trees which all the seeds, the plants, and then of course, the animal kingdom is served by all the vegetation, and so on, all the way to the human beings. The animal kingdom indeed serves human civilization for the food or utilitarian purposes; like plowing with the ox or being pulled by horses and donkeys. Human beings however, have the opportunity to take from all the three lower categories and elevate them to their source of infinity. Each of us has that choice. If not, if we don’t do that, the whole cosmos is left hanging, and here we are to choose; we can say to ourselves, “who am I and who I’m not?”

Make the difference, who you are and what you’re supposed to do versus who you’re not. This doesn’t happen in any other world. Only in the world of humans. So you can either redeem the world or compromise its integrity. You can either allow its symphony to reach its crescendo or cut the symphony short and make the world confused. That’s what it’s all about. That’s what, at the end of the day, we’re here for: either to redeem it or to compromise its integrity and get it all mixed up.

It’s your choice. I suggest you choose the right one.
