Have you ever seen a stress ball or do you know what it is? Let me describe it, if I may, a little plastic ball. It fits just about in the palm of your hands and supposedly, not with any scientific backgrounds, when you’re stressed you’re supposed to take this stress ball and exert energy into the ball and squeeze it as hard as you can as many times as you need. This supposedly, again without any scientific background, should get rid of the stress that you have. Rather than exerting yourself in an improper matter or on things or people, you would release that negative energy or stress onto the ball; so it’s called a stress ball.

Might I ask you, why would you want to squeeze a ball if you’re stressed? Here is a suggestion; why not squeeze your own heart in a spiritual, non-physical manner? You will see what comes out of there. If you squeeze your heart hard enough, do you know what you will find?

So many good memories and good things have happened to you since you were born. Kindness that was extended to you, the friends you have, the family you were given, the good health, all of those things. You may say these things are not always there, and as a matter of fact, the reason why you were given this stress ball today is because you’re experiencing quite a bit of stress, or perhaps a difficult obstacle, something that seems to be insurmountable. May I suggest to you that even “this will pass?” None of these things stay. Negativity or a challenge is only there to help you become better. One thing is for sure: it is always temporary, it never lasts. Just like the nights. Nights are temporary and so is darkness. The beauty of that, is that we know that after darkness will come light, and after squeezing will come expansion.

Nothing stays this negative. To the contrary, it becomes even better, so perhaps instead of squeezing the stress ball next time, why not think of how many wonderful blessings you’ve had and you continue to have? The stress that you’re going through right now, whatever that may be, try to overlook it. Not so much by squeezing the stress out, but by emphasizing how much goodness there is in your life. This will be a tremendous blessing, something that you deserve to have at all times and that you need to concentrate on. It will be good for you.
