Daily Wisdom – Motivational Podcast – Day 140 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond
There is one character trait that is so beautiful and particular to the refinement of your life, and that is patience.
Many people say, “What does patience have to say and what does patience have to do with me?”
Patience says so much about a person. It describes how confident they are in their life and how sure they are of the results of their activities. By taking a minute and realizing that everything in this world has its place and has its time by using the character trait of patience, you will see so much in your life, that other people cannot.
The key indeed to everything is patience. It says that you get the chicken by waiting for the egg to hatch, not by smashing it. Have you ever heard that expression? It is true; if you smash it, you’ll never see that chicken. But if you are patient and you let it happen, you’ll see what comes out.
For happiness, one needs security, but for joy, that springs just like a flower, even from these cliffs of despair, you need patience.
There’s always room for improvement in everything that we do, always. As they say, the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement, and that’s what life is all about. Why not take a moment and realize, is this my life the way that I want it to be? If not, be patient. Use patience as a “catalyst” to make things different.
Don’t despair and realize that you will get there. It may take time and you might not realize everything that you wish, but by trying and trying harder every single moment, and having patience on your side, you will accomplish so much.
Not only that, there’s something else about being patient; people will admire you, people will envy you, people around you will say, “What a kind person. What an amazing individual.” By seeing you being patient they’ll realize that there’s so much more to this world than just rushing and getting there before anything else happens.
Make patience, the solid rock of your character and build on it, and take a minute to appreciate all of it, because you deserve it.
