Daily Wisdom  â Motivational Podcast â Day 779 â Inspiration: Above and Beyond
The concept of counting is an interesting idea. The reason why people count is because they want to review what they have in store or what they own. Although, at the same time, counting also expresses the importance of each individual. By counting all the people around, we know who is there. For instance, in a team we would want to know who are the team members, and are they all in place, so we could count them.
The same is in the conscription of an army. In an army they count each individual member. They want to make sure that everybody is on the base. This is because the army is the representation of its own nation. As the soldiers go out into the world theyâre expected, each and every one of them, to act as a living example of their people.
The same is true of all of us. We all have a mission in this world to be a true soldier. We are expected to wear our uniforms proudly, we are supposed to act in a manner that makes us obvious that we are human beings and that we serve in this special army. Any observer should easily recognize that we have been drafted by the Creator of the world Himself, and have been charged with the mission to conquer the world with goodness and holiness.
This is what our world is all about. We are counted only when we have reached the point of our own spiritual maturity, where we can identify with our divine mission. And this mission is strong enough to enlist in this special army. As long as we exhibit the readiness and the distinction itself of becoming who we are supposed to be, no matter what, then we are counted. You want to be counted; you want to be part of this world, and you want to make a difference.
Why not teach our own children, peers, friends, and colleagues to wear the uniform of this army that we belong to, with great pride? Now you may say, âAn army is descriptive of war; why would I want to be in the army?â
No, you are mistaken. An army is there to protect its nation, and the army that we all are in right now is to protect the world, and to make this world a better place to be. The world itself cannot survive without a guardian.
The guardian is you and I. Make this place the best place, and make your world a proud world, so you and I can be counted tomorrow, as part of this amazing, unparalleled army called divinity.
